Stocking, Tuesday, Oct 7, 2008, 9:00am The
stocking crew in Green Hill Park consisted of Bob Crawshaw, Anke Loberg, Hans
Loberg, Dick Taylor and David
Vecellio. This
time we started at the new parking lot just past the park entrance and stocked
our way upstream using the paved Green Way along the river. We had a good mix of
medium and large size trout. The water level is still very low, but the water
temperature was about 64 degs. Hans Had five folks there in Green Hill Park. Anka & Hans, Dave Vecellio a new gentleman and I'm afraid I forgot his name; but, Hans will know and moi. Truck was a little late as they were teaching someone else how to do it so we were told. Stocked some nice ones. Photos attached. One has some "flying fish" in it! Dick
The Colorado St. to Apperson St. stocking was assisted by Ted Creighton,
Dover England, Allen Hartman, and Dick Vipperman. The stocking
included a good number of large rainbows, a couple of which we
considered putting a leash on them to walk them to the river. Ted
Creighten really perfected his net stroke in tossing the fish into the
water. He throws them like a pro. All in all, it was an
excellent stocking of all rainbows. The water is very low, but we
might get some rain if the predictions for the next few days hold true.
