Trout Stocking October 10, 2007

GREEN HILL PARK - Present were: Hans & Anka Loberg, Bill Bainter, Ron Nemura, Mark Taylor, and Dick Taylor. Started at about the usual 9:00 am and we finished up at 10:00 am. Water is pitifully low and hoping that the next few predicted cooler nights will lower the water temperature a few degrees too. Stocked were a few large browns and also some really big rainbows.  When last seen they were all crawling slowly upstream over the rocks tyring to get to the water. Think a couple were already starting to sprout tiny legs in place of fins just in case! Dick

SALEM SPECIAL REGS. - Present were: Ron Herring, Alan Hartman, Joe Nawrocki and Jon Wilson.  Started at nine a.m. and finished up around 10:30.  Everything went smooth until we went to the new Salem Rotary Club Park on Rt. 419.  Ernie buried the truck up in the river and had to call a tow truck to be pulled out.  Not a good day for him, however, he was jolly as ever about it.  He is a great person!!   We put in some monster browns and rainbows.   Most all of the trout were browns and averaged 12 + inches.  We concentrated our stocking to the larger holes and runs.  We did not stock trout from the bridge to the swimming hole due to a recent spill and the HazMat people at the river above swimming hole.  Sorry there are no pictures I forgot to bring the camera.  Jon
