Monday, February 4, 2008 Stocking of Special Reg. area - Salem and Green Hill Park Green Hill Park The stocking of the Delayed Harvest section of the Roanoke River in Green Hill Park went very well. We had a good turn out of both veteran stockers along with a few new-comers. Andy showed up with the Paint Bank truck at about 9:15. Those participating were: Bill Bainter, Tom Brown, Ron Herring, Hans Loberg, Anke Loberg, Robert Marek, Ron Nemura, Wysor Smith, Pete Tackett, Dick Taylor, James Williams. Had about five with waders; so, we had a good set up for a bucket brigade to and from the river. At least there was a little more water there then lately. Believe Hans said the flow was all the way down to only about 65cfs and after Friday's rain/ice storm it was about 300 and now has settled to about 265 cfs or thereabouts. Supposed to get some rain Tuesday/Wednesday and hope that prediction comes through. Pictures by Dick Taylor (click on image for full size). Salem The Salem section of the Delayed Harvest also went very well. Ernie showed up around 9:20. Those participating were: Dick Vipperman, Jon Wilson, Joe Nawrocki, David Vaccellio, Bill Nunnally and two other gentleman that I am not for sure what their name was (if anyone knows please let me know).
