Green Hill Park Trout Stocking, Monday, Oct.16, 2006

Andy and the stocking truck showed up at 9am sharp and headed up through the open gate at the upper end of Green Hill Park even before David Vecellio along with Anke, Hans & Eric Loberg had managed to get their waders and boots on. We hurried to catch up with Andy and after a few bucket runs Dan Phlegar and Spurgeon Keith joined us.  Like last time, Hans had brought a pair of heavy duty clippers and cleared out and marked the river access points to facilitate the bucket runs a few days earlier.  At the last stocking we kind of ran out of fish at the lower end so this time after stocking down to the picnic area we moved down to the lower end and stocked back up to finish at the picnic area. This time we stocked more big fish than in the past, - a few seemed to fill up the entire bucket. However, since they load up the truck by weight we probably do not have quite as many fish as at previous stockings.  The area was fairly clean and since we finished back at the picnic area we did not do a "mini" clean-up this time. After the stocking Anke and Hans walked the upper stretch down to the picnic area and put up new regulation signs in place of the missing ones. (We need more signs)
