Stocking October 5, 2009

The volunteers in Green Hill Park this were Bill Bainter, Bob Jenkins, Anke Loberg, Hans Loberg, Robert Marek, Karl Miller, Dan Phlegar, James Williams and Francis (Frank) our loyal Green Hill Park “watchdog” and “historian”.  Andy arrived with the stocking truck five minutes early and some arrived five minutes late, so the start was a little un-coordinated.. However, pretty soon everyone were in full swing carrying buckets into the river. The new Greenway makes the stocking go very smoothly and we were done a few minutes before 10am. The spring stocking consisted only of brown trout, this time all rainbows with a good combination of small, medium and nice size fish. The water is a little too low, but we should be OK temperature wise. A big thanks to everyone for another great effort!

The volunteers at Salem were Jack Ward, George Kesler, Joe Nawrocki, Allan Hartman, Dick Vipperman and Jon Wilson.  Bayes Wilson also stopped by to say hello.   Ernie arrived just a few minutes before 9 and we were off and running behind the truck.  Stocking was made much easier by having the new Greenway to run the truck along the river.  Fish were much smaller and fewer in number than past stockings. All trout were Rainbows.  Thanks to everyone for all of your hard work.
