On October 2, 2008 Bill Bainter met Mary Lupsha and her students from Roanoke Catholic this morning at the Paint Bank Hatchery.  Mary brought 37 students and another teacher.  It was very cool and windy but I think they all enjoyed the tour.  Brian Beers provided the eggs and they left safely packed in a cooler.  Per Brian said they should hatch out in about a week.

On October 3, 2008 Jon Wilson and Robert Marek met Charlie Filer, Dave Muller, Julian Barnes and eight Glenvar High School students to tour the Paint Bank Hatchery and pick up their eggs.  It was a beautiful fall morning and the tour was wonderful.  I know the students thoroughly enjoyed the tour and learned a great deal from Brian Beers.  Following the time spent at the hatchery, Glenvar students and teachers left for a nice lunch at the Swinging Bridge Restaurant before returning back to school.  Pictures by Jon Wilson.
