The Roanoke Valley chapter of Trout Unlimited is a diverse group of over 265 people with the common interest of pursuing the Trout Unlimited mission to "- - conserve, protect and restore North America’s trout and salmon fisheries and their watersheds." TU accomplishes this mission on local, state and national levels with an extensive and dedicated volunteer network. TU’s national office, based just outside of Washington, D.C., and its regional offices employ professionals who testify before Congress, publish a quarterly magazine, intervene in federal legal proceedings, and work with the organization’s 125,000 volunteers in 500 chapters nationwide to keep them active and involved in conservation issues. Our chapter prides itself in its accomplishments, but realizes that there is much more to do. This web site is presented as a bulletin board for the assimilation of information and collection of suggestions to further not only the stated mission, but to provide suggestions of meaningful and sporting enjoyment of the multitude of outdoor experiences in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We invite you to join us in our activities. "Many
